Dear Parents and Students,
There are several national test dates for the ACT and SAT coming up this Spring. For students who would like help preparing for this important exam, Cookeville High School will once again be partnering with Tutors Across America to provide a discounted ACT Weekend Bootcamp.
Tutors Across America also offers online bootcamps which is a great option for students who do not live close to an offered in-person bootcamp. Our online bootcamps are taught live and students are able to interact with their instructor. Students of all ages are welcome to attend. Students of all ages are welcome to attend.
The bootcamps are averaging 3-7 point improvements on the ACT, which can help with college admissions and scholarships.

Registration is open for your Seniors (who are Admitted to Tennessee Tech) for Spring Showcase.
There are 2 dates to choose from – Saturday, Feb 22nd and Saturday, March 1st.
This is an exclusive and free event for admitted students where they and their family can spend the morning with their major of choice, meet other admitted students, tour a resident hall, and get their questions answered by future professors and current students. Student groups, Financial Aid / Scholarship staff, Honors, and other Tn Tech departments will be there too!
Attendees can enjoy either a TN Tech basketball or baseball game afterward as well. Lots of great information for them to dive deeper into their major of interest and see Tennessee Tech University from the perspective of current students and staff.

RBSHS Seniors and Parents:
As a reminder, if you need help completing your FAFSA, a representative from TSAC will be at RBSHS on Wednesday, January 22 from 10:00 - 2:00 to help you complete your FAFSA. The student and parent must have an FSA ID created at least 3 days in advance. If you need any assistance prior to January 22, or just want to complete the FAFSA yourself, refer to studentaid.gov for more information.

No school Wednesday 1/15/2025 due to road conditions. This information will be pushed out on the main Macon county schools app soon. It is up on news channel 5 now to verify.

Parents and guardians, please make sure that you have plans in the case of early dismissal due to inclement weather. Please note there are no plans to early dismiss today 1/9/2025. This is for uncontrollable incoming weather in the future.

Due to the incoming weather, the Gordonsville game originally scheduled for Friday has been moved to tonight 1/9/2025. The game will be played at Gordonsville. The High School girls will be excused to the gym at 12:30. The last-minute schedule change is creating uncontrollable issues.

RBSHS Service Learning has some coats in the clothing closet. If your child needs one, please have them come by the library.

Crazy Christmas Attire Contest Friday, December 13th. This is a fundraiser for the freshman class, and the entry fee is $ 1.00. The dress code must be followed. Prizes for Top 3 students. Open to grades 6-12th.

Stanley Black & Decker has established the DEWALT Trades Scholarship to assist individuals attending a two-year college or vocational-technical school who are pursuing a trade degree/certificate in an industry aligned with the Stanley Black & Decker Trade Goals – including but are not limited to Construction, Industrial, Motor/Power Sector, Mechanics, and Technology.
