🏫LAST DAYS TO COMPLETE SKYWARD ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING MACON COUNTY STUDENTS 🏫 Parents are encouraged to register their children before online registration closes on Tuesday, July 29th. Registering online will keep parents and students from having to attend school on registration day, August 1st, 2025. There are also several forms that will be completed during online registration that will not have to be completed on paper. Any NEW student to Macon County Schools for the 2025-2026 school year that has not already registered will need to register on August 1st at the school that your child will attend. Parents of Kindergarten Students who registered in April should have received an email with their Skyward Login information. It would have been sent to the email address that you provided on the Skyward form during April registration. We have several parents who have started the online registration process but have not completed it. If you did not complete all forms/steps in the process, your child will not be registered. IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE WITH SKYWARD LOG IN INFORMATION OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT REGISTERING, PLEASE EMAIL skywardhelpdesk@maconcountyschools.org, and your information will be sent to you as soon as possible. Students that attend the schools in Red Boiling Springs may notice a greater than normal police presence for the next couple of days. Upon the report of an unspecified threat found on the 6-12 section of the building, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Red Boiling Springs Police Department are conducting a complete investigation and may be speaking to students as necessary. All threats are taken seriously, and this is no different. The safety of our students and staff are of the upmost concern and the number one priority of the school system and law enforcement. We hope to have this resolved quickly, and we appreciate your and your children’s patience and consideration while this is taking place. If you or your children have any information concerning this matter, please call or text 615-359-8399 or 615-359-8331.

Parents: This afternoon during demolition by the construction crew, a gas line was punctured. After consultation with RBS Gas officials, it was determined that no threat was posed to any children. There was a smell of gas in some areas of the building. Students in that area were relocated to other areas. I wanted to communicate this event as soon as possible this afternoon to all parents as I am sure students will mention this taking place. If you have any questions, please contact Leslie Goad at RBS Elementary or Daniel Cook at the MCBOE. Thank you,
Leslie Goad
