HOMEWORK POLICY




Homework is not assigned as busy work. Homework that is sent home will be on a skill that we are working on in class and is important. A homework folder may be sent home and should be brought back to school each day.  Notes may be sent home in the homework folder. Please make it a habit to check for homework each night.

READING HOMEWORK: Your child is expected to read his/her story each night and study their reading words in their folder. This folder must be brought back to school each day as we review their words on a daily basis. Stories are marked in their folder as they are assigned.


MATH HOMEWORK: Math homework will be sent home in the homework folders on Mondays and
Wednesdays. Please help your child do Side B of the sheet. We ask that you do not do the work for them as they will not learn the skill that we are on at that time. The homework sheet should be returned the following day.


Your teacher may at some point have additional homework tasks for your child to complete. Thank you for helping your
child develop good study habits now.
